    Name, Address, Section, Township, Range, Subdivision, & Assessment Number.

  2. How is property assessed?
    By a percent of fair market value, as follows: House @ 10%, Land @ 10%, Personal Property @ 15%, Public Service @ 25%.

  3. How many acres can be covered under Homestead Exemption?
    160 acres, as long as the total assessed value of house and land do not exceed $75,000.

  4. What are the requirements for signing Homestead Exemption?
    You must own & live in your own home or mobile home, either on your land, or someone else's land.

  5. Does Homestead Exemption have to be renewed every year?
    No. Homestead exemption is permanent as long as ownership and occupancy have not changed.

  6. Does (a named individual) own property in DeSoto Parish?
